- Dry ball mill is a kind of grinding and pulverizing equipment that uses grinding balls to crush coarse particles in air or inert gas to produce fine particles. it is equipped with larger diameter grinding balls inside to grind large and coarse particles with ease.
- Dry ball mills are best suited for micronsized particles. Since relatively large diameter balls are used in dry ball mills, large and coarse particles can be easily ground by vigorous agitation,and high speed agitation of the balls creates strong shearing and friction forces, resulting in finer particles.
- Dry ball mills are grinding and dispersing machines designed to grind and disperse particles down to the micron and nanometer scale. The balls (grinding media)in the grinding chamber are agitatedby arotating shaft and the particles are ground and dispersed by ball collision and shear. A filter screen at the outlet of the grinding chamber separates the balls from the particles and retains the balls inside the chamber for continuous mass production of fine particles.
